I actually owned the big square Batman annuals before being forced to sell them on internet auction to pay on the offsprings' tuition. Unfortunately, the series does not seem to be selling well, since Vol. 1 is already out of print. It is still available, however, from Amazon Marketplace sellers. So, snap them up fast. The annuals reprint stories complete in one story from previous issues.Volume 2 does a good job of citing original publication and includes brief biographies of the artists.
Return to the days of colorful comic book innocence starring heroes who were pure and true and villians who were not totally offensive.
Both volumes are a great addition to your DC reprint library. Books such as there do not seem to last long in public libraries. So, if you wish to go back and reread the collection, you are practically forced to purchase a personal copy.
